Laser Tattoo removal
As our lives change we often don’t retain the same feelings and values of our younger years. For some people unwanted tattoos can hinder them from gaining employment or cause psychological problems.
At Skinique Beauty, we now have the latest Q-Switch laser technology to effectively reduce and remove permanent tattoos with very little risk of scarring.
How does laser tattoo removal work?
- Laser tattoo removal works by targeting the pigment in the skin cells without damaging the surrounding skin tissue.
- At Skinique Beauty we use the latest Q-switch laser, because it is the most effective laser that removes tattoo. It can produce one or more specific wavelengths of light.
- These wavelengths are attracted to different tattoo colours or pigments, penetrating through the skin to break up the tattoo inks.
- Once the pigment is broken into fragments, the skin cells are able to remove these smaller pigments naturally.
How many treatments are required?
- The removal of a tattoo can take months and will require multiple treatments. The number of treatments (usually 6-10 treatments at 6 weeks intervals) will be dependent upon the size, type and colours of your tattoo.
What does the treatment involve?
- Anaesthetic cream is applied about 20 minutes prior to the treatment
- The handheld device emitting laser light is then moved over the being treated area.
- The treated area may initially appear darker as result of the broken down pigments but should gradually fade away.
- Some bleeding may occur and scabs may form but should flake off between 7-10 days.
How much does it cost?
- The price varies depending on the area being treated. Please speak to our friendly and experienced staff for more details.
